Dr. de la Puente received the Dani and Eric Zander Junior Faculty Scholar Award at her first ASIP and ASMB meeting. Thank you to the American Society for Investigative Pathology for the support.

ASMB2023. Hailey Axemaker and Dr. de la Puente represented the de la Puente Lab at ASMB2023 with 1 oral presentation and 4 posters. Pilar also participated in a career development roundtable and co-chaired the Trailblazer Young Investigator session. We also did a great hike and enjoyed amazing views of the Salt Lake city.

BMES2023. Amrita Bhagia and Dr. de la Puente represented the de la Puente Lab at BMES2023. We were extremely busy with 4 oral presentation and 1 poster.

Pilar was a panelist at the Communities of Color Luncheon organized by BMESociety and BMESDiversity. Amazing crowd

Dr. de la Puente attended her 1st LatinXin BME Symposium, she networked a lot and gave an oral about the research in the lab.

Hispanic Heritage Month: NCI Center to reduce Cancer health Disparities CRCHD launched a campaign that recognizes Hispanic cancer scientists. Dr. de la Puente was featured, if you want to learn more, watch her videos. “Be a cancer wars hero”

Embe Tribute to Women: Dr. de la Puente was nominated in the category of Healthcare & STEM, which recognizes leaders in the fields of healthcare, science, technology, engineering or math. You can learn more here.
